Caterina Calefato

 

PhD in Computer Science in the University of Turin, she got her degree (110/110 cum laude and Press Rights) in Communication Science discussing a Human Machine Interaction thesis. Now she is contract researcher at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. She was a consultant for famous research centres as Fiat Research Centre, Politecnico of Turin, RE:Lab and for important companies such as Maserati, Fiat Auto, Ferrari, Indesit, Telecom Italia, working in the HMI group. Her professional profile encompasses the management of Communication and Information projects, the design of effective human machine interfaces, the set up of usability user tests, the definition and analysis of project requirements, use cases, software specifications, system architectures, conceptual and logical design of DBMS, the writing of end user manuals. She took a part in several funded project of the 7th Framework Program, such as: “NEAC: the Network of European Automotive Competence (Interreg Project)”, “VERITAS: Virtual and Augmented Environments and Realistic User Interactions To achieve Embedded Accessibility DesignS, “ ID4EV: Intelligent Dynamics for Fully Electric Vehicles”. She was the coordinator of the funded project “DEVICE: Design for Vulnerable GeneratIons: Children and Elderly” (www.deviceproject.eu).Now she is a contract researcher at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, joined to ICOOR (Interuniversity Consortium for Optimization and Operations Research).
