Eleni Christopoulou

 

holds a PhD on Computer Science from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics of the University of Patras, Greece. She is a senior researcher at the University of Patras and her research interests include ontologies and semantics in mobile and ubiquitous computing, context-awareness, smart urban informatics, ubiquitous and urban learning. She has taught as an adjunct lecturer at the Department of Informatics of the Ionian University, Greece, she has been a visiting researcher at the University of Oulu, Finland, and she has worked as an R&D engineer at the Computer Technology Institute in Patras, Greece. She has contributed to a number of Greek and European research programs mainly in the area of ubiquitous computing and context-aware systems, specializing on ontologies and semantic analysis. She has published more than 20 reviewed papers on scientific conferences, journals and books.
