Panos Markopoulos

 

is a computer scientist specialized in the fields of Human Computer Interaction and Interaction Design. His research spans several topics, including user centred design methods, persuasive technologies, ambient intelligence, awareness systems and privacy, rehabilitation technology, and interaction design for children. He is a Professor at the Eindhoven University of Technology, where a considerable part of his work concerns the appropriate application of research methods from social sciences in the field of interaction design. He is  an adjunct professor at the University of Technology, Sydney at the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building. He is a co-founder and editor of Elsevier's International Journal on Child Computer Interaction, and co-author of book on Evaluating Children's Interactive Products, published by M.Kaufmann.
