Jason McElligott

 

is the Keeper of Marsh’s Library in Dublin (founded 1707). A graduate of University College Dublin and St John's College, Cambridge, he has published widely on early-modern print culture. He is currently writing a book on theft and white-collar crime in eighteenth-century Dublin. Imminent articles by him include ‘Bram Stoker and the Un-Dead History of the Seventeenth Century’ in Gothic Studies; 'Ownership Inscriptions and Life-Writing in the Books of Early Modern Women’ in Eckerle & McAreavey (eds), Women’s Life Writing and Early Modern Ireland (Lincoln, NE, 2018); and ‘Advertising and Selling in Cromwellian Newsbooks’, in S.
