Jose Luis Saorin

 

is a Professor of “Teaching Innovation and Research Methodologies for Drawing, Design and Visual Arts” at La Laguna University (ULL). He earned a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering in 2006. He is the coordinator of the Research Group for the development of Spacial Skills (Dehaes). His research interests include development of educational competences such as spatial abilities, creativity and others, using Advanced Graphics Technologies. He collaborates, as STEAM coordinator, with La Laguna Design and Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab ULL). Currently, one of its research lines is related to the design and creation of three-dimensional objects for learning. In this line, 3D printer and 3D modeling are used to enhance learning.
