Massimo Bianchini

 

designer, PhD in design. Assistant professor at the Design Department of Politecnico di Milano. He is co-founder and lab manager of Polifactory, makerspace/fablab of Politecnico di Milano, a multidisciplinary research lab that investigate the link between design and the change of production models. He is graduated at Fab Academy in 2015. Since 2011 he investigates the new scenarios of independent innovation - designers that become micro and self-producers - design for distributed (micro)production and new urban manufacturing. From 2013 to 2015 he has taken part to CTC CTC – Close to Customer, a EU Factories of the Future demo project aimed to design a mini-factory to manufacturing customized furniture within shopping malls. From 2014 co-develops pilot projects with public bodies and institutions exploring the creation of innovation ecosystems based on openP2P collaboration between designers, makers/makerspaces and SMEs/Craftsmen
