John N.A. Brown

 

has worked as a Research Scientist, Inventor, Ergonomist, User Interface and Game Designer, Computer Animator, Bricklayer, Encyclopaedist, and Editorial Cartoonist, and has been recognised by two of Canada's Networks of Centres of Excellence for his research in workplace biomechanics and applied mathematics. Dr. Brown has lectured at universities and research institutes on four continents, has been a consultant to industry, and served as the Human Factors Specialist for Aviation Safety for the Government of Canada. His book Anthropology-Based Computing: Putting the Human in Human-Computer Interaction is due from Springer in 2015.
