Lester Gilbert



is an Associate Professor at the University of Southampton. He has been the Principal or Co-Investigator on a number of projects in e-learning, formative and summative e-assessment, virtual research environments, mobile learning, and peer assessment. Lesterís research currently focuses on the development of a framework for machine-processable competency trees and exploring their application in e-portfolios, pedagogic design of effective feedback, adaptive assessment, and educational (serious) games.
